EUmies díyj 2026 kiállítás Milánóban

Megtekinthető: 2026. november 5. - 2027. január 10-ig
Helyszín: ADI Design Múzeum Milánó ( Olaszország)

The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards (EUmies Awards) exhibition arrives in Milan as part of its international tour, following presentations in Barcelona, Budapest, Varna, Oulu, Rovaniemi and Buenos Aires. Through different exhibition formats adapted to each venue, the tour continues to bring the 2026 winners, finalists and shortlisted works to audiences across Europe.

Hosted by the ADI Design Museum, the exhibition offers an opportunity to explore contemporary European architecture through projects that respond to the social, cultural and environmental challenges shaping our cities and territories.

The exhibition brings together models of the winning, finalist and shortlisted projects, alongside audiovisual materials that provide further insight into the architectural ideas, design processes and transformations behind the works. Together, they offer a broad perspective on the diversity of approaches and practices represented in the EUmies Awards 2026.

The presentation in Milan establishes a dialogue between architecture and design within the ADI Design Museum, an institution dedicated to promoting design culture and exploring its relationship with society, innovation and everyday life.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, 5 November, at 18:00, with the participation of Luciano Galimberti, President of ADI; Ivan Blasi, Director of the EUmies Awards at Fundació Mies van der Rohe; and Francesca Scotti, President of the Milan Order of Architects. Representatives of BALANCE Architettura, the practice behind the Bicocca Superlab project, have also been invited to contribute to the opening, alongside representatives of the European Commission.

The opening (tickets here) also features the exclusive presentation of the EUmies Awards 2026 catalogue, bringing together the projects nominated for this edition, with particular attention to the shortlisted works, finalists and winners. The publication offers a comprehensive overview of contemporary European architecture and the ideas, challenges and transformations reflected in the 2026 edition.

As part of the programme accompanying the exhibition, on Friday, 6 November, at 13:00 the EUmies Awards Out&About invite visitors to discover Bicocca Superlab, one of the 40 projects shortlisted for the EUmies Awards 2026, through a guided visit with its architects, BALANCE Architettura.

Located in Milan’s Bicocca district, the project transforms a former industrial building into a contemporary workplace, exploring the potential of adaptive reuse and the relationship between existing structures and new architectural interventions.

Register here to experience the building firsthand in a small group and learn directly from its architects about the ideas and decisions behind its transformation.
