The Fundació Mies van der Rohe and the European Commission announce the projects shortlisted by the jury of the EUmies Awards Young Talent 2025.
The 35 shortlisted projects are complemented by 10 projects from the Young Talent Open, composed of schools from Council of Europe member states that are not part of Creative Europe, as well as from Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. All these projects come from 36 schools in 19 countries and address topics such as housing, reuse, climate emergency and resilience, resources, intergenerational equity, youth, culture and sport.
This selection will be part of the exhibition “Intelligens . Talent. EUmies Awards Young Talent 2025”, a Collateral Event of the Biennale Architettura 2025, which will open on 9 May at 17:00 at Palazzo Mora in Venice. On the same day, the 12 finalists of the EUmies Awards Young Talent 2025 and the 5 finalists of the Young Talent Open will be announced.
The prize has supported previous winners in launching their careers in established studios, setting up their own practices, and sharing their knowledge in universities.
The winners, to be announced on 19 June during the EUmies Awards Day, will receive support to build a network with architects and critics linked to the EUmies Awards and the LINA European Architecture Platform.
All nominated, selected, finalist and winning projects will be featured in a catalogue and a travelling exhibition.
