The exhibition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards 2024 that opened in Barcelona and has travelled to Madrid and Vienna is now stopping in Prague.

The Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning in Prague is hosting the exhibition under the title The Best European Architecture and we would like to invite you to the opening on 28 January at 7pm.

The exhibition presents the 362 nominated works of this edition, highlighting the 40 works shortlisted by the jury and presenting more detailed and extensive information about the winners and finalists. The exhibition shows how the architects want to express their own ideas and exploit the potential of what architecture can become in a society that is changing in a very radical way. It is a faithful picture of what architecture is today in relation to society.

Among the works there is the finalist Plato Contemporary Art Gallery in Ostrava by KWK Promes and 8 other works built in Czechia all presented in the exhibition.

On the occasion of the opening, the Urban Talks with Elena Orte, Emerging Winner author of the Gabriel García Márquez Library in Barcelona (SUMA Arquitectura) and Anna Ramos, Director Fundació Mies van der Rohe, will take place on 29 January at 19:00h.

The exhibition also presents the videos and documentaries of the EUmies Awards as well as some of the latest publications which you can also find here.
A guided tour to the exhibition will take place on 5 February at 18:00h.
