On June 29, we celebrate the EUmies Awards Day 2023 with the anouncement of the winners of EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards in the Young Talent category at Palazzo Michiel in Venice, as part of the Collateral Events of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia and online.
The winners will be announced by Mr. Georg Häusler, Director for Culture, Creativity and Sport in the European Commission (DG EAC); Mrs. Oya Atalay, President of the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE); and Mrs. Jutta Kastner, Policy officer at the European Commission (DG EAC).
Mr. Dubravko Bacic, member of the Executive Board of the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE-CAE) will announce the winner of the Young Talent Open, for schools from the African continent and members of the Council of Europe which are not part of Creative Europe.
Following the announcements, each winner will engage in a set of conversations with the representatives from the European Union, Fundació Mies van der Rohe, ACE-CAE, EAAE, LINA architecture platform, and the jury members N’Goné Fall, Manuel Henriques, Jennifer Mack, Simone Sfriso and Snežana Vesnić.
The EUmies Awards Day will finish with the Granting celebration at Palazzo Mora and live on EUmies Awards Instagram.
