The Debates at the Pavilion program hosts a conversation between Dominique Perrault and Joan Busquets moderated by Anna Ramos, director of the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, on the occasion of the presentation of Dominique Perrault's book A Village and its Double.These two architects, with extensive experience in the design of Olympic villas, will reflect on the deep implications of these large-scale urban projects, their cultural and social significance in recent history and the lasting impact they leave on the city.
Dominique Perrault will share ideas from the book A Village and its Double (Actar Publishers, 2024) which explores his vision around the design of the Olympic and Paralympic village in Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, at the intersection of aspects such as legacy, the reversibility of the site and the relationship with the existing territory.
